Hi my name is Jessica I live in the small town of Colbinabbin near Bendigo in Victoria. I am new to collecting (like about 6 months) and still am working out what I like. I am 25 years old and am a little over excited as I have never be allowed to collect, then last year I was given a collection to sell and as I sold I discovered the world of comics. I like My Little Pony (Childhood dream), Captain Marvel (modern), Ms Marvel, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and sill working out what else I like.

I started to collect in the early 1980's.....only Marvel titles back then. Been off and on since the early 1990's...my last "stint" was when Marvel started the "Age of Heroes" arc. (being an adult sucks! always gotta put bills before hobbies!!) I try to "keep up" with my favorite characters by checking out Trade Backs from the local library....only they're a few years behind what's on the shelf! =/

Here's the place to introduce yourself - where are you from, how long have you been collecting? What do you like collecting / favourite titles? Hi! I'm Ray. Been collecting since the early 1980's....off and on. Every few years I can't afford to collect for a while (bills and crud), but get right back in when I can! I mostly focus on Marvel books. Unfortunately, I've had a very long hiatus this time...it's been since "The Age of Heroes" arc (around 2007) since I've bought on a regular basis. (I have picked up a couple issues here and there, and check out the Trade Backs from the local library to "keep up" best I can) I was raised in the San Diego area (and went to a couple of Cons there ('87 and '91)...been living in Kentucky for the last 2 decades.(small town, only one shop...but, they can hook you up with whatever you'e looking for!)

Great stuff Jessica - it must be very liberating being able to finally collect! And you have a pretty active comics scene in Bendigo which is great

Ray you're collecting chronology sounds very similar to mine i.e. collecting since early 80s, mostly Marvel.

Hi my name is Bob, I'm 34 years old from the western suburbs of Sydney, I never really got into collecting comics as a kid but loved the superheroes from tv and movies. Now as an adult I have 3 children who are around the age where they are liking batman, Spider-Man ect. It got me to start falling in love with the characters again and I've been hooked ever since. I have been collecting comics for about 2 years. I read DC (nothing wrong with Marvel but financially I chose 1 universe over the other) and my habit is I buy current titles and I also go back and buy story arcs from comics from Crisis on infinite Earths onwards which I'm currently in 1992

Hi All. My name is Peter, I've been collecting comics for (deep breath) over 31 years now. Mainly Marvel and smaller companies, not so much DC, but Vertigo back in the day. Nowadays I'm reading a lot of Image titles, and my Marvel titles have shrunk drastically since Secret Wars. I'm from Bendigo, I run the Bendigo Record Comic and Toy Fair and am closing in on complete runs of The Hulk, Iron Man and the Fantastic Four. I tend to follow writers, so will chase Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Grant Morrison, Warren Ellis, The Hernandez Brothers, Brian Wood, Stan Sakai, Garth Ennis, Kurt Buseik, Naoki Urasawa, and a few others. As far as 'company loyalty' goes, it's all happening at Image at the moment. I love old scool European comics, and decent manga, and officially claim Grumpy Old Collector status.

I attended the last one, will let you know if I lock in a visit to the next one. Comic Gong rules the regionals!
